The Wertheim-type hysterotomy forceps are a special gynaecological and obstetric instrument used for operations to remove uterine ligaments and blood vessels. The appropriately shaped instrument allows atraumatic removal of the uterus from the pelvic cavity. The long, curved parts allow adaptation to the anatomy of the cavity. The working pieces have special grooves for the best possible grip. The handle of the instrument is equipped with a graduated locking mechanism which allows the pressure to be adjusted as required.
