The BD Venflon Pro Safety is a peripheral IV safety catheter whose needle-tip protection activates automatically when the needle is removed. The irreversible shield fully encapsulates the needle tip, giving a high level of protection against needlestick injuries, cuts and scratches and reducing the risk of blood splashes.
The polyurethane catheter is kink-resistant, provides a constant flow rate, is biocompatible and radiopaque. An even silicone coating eases insertion, and flexible wings aid fixation.
