BD Vacutainer PST II tubes contain separating gel and spray-dried lithium heparin. Heparin mixes efficiently with blood for optimal anticoagulation at the correct fill, and after centrifugation the gel forms a barrier between plasma and cells. Samples are stable for 24 h at 20–25 °C, with short centrifugation times.
Pharmaceutical-grade, preservative-free heparin that does not interfere with analysis. Store at 4–25 °C away from direct sunlight. Centrifugation: 1300–2000 x g for 10 min or 3000 x g for 5 min (18–25 °C).
