The BD Venflon Pro is a ported, passive safety peripheral IV catheter designed to minimise the risk of blood spatter and needlestick injuries. The ported design with snap cap aids non-touch technique, prevents the port being left open inadvertently and minimises contamination risk.
The back-cut needle offers optimal skin and vein penetration, and flexible wings stabilise the cannula. BD Vialon catheter material softens in the vein for longer dwell times and lower thrombophlebitis risk; high kink resistance and radiopacity.
