The carrier material of the dressing consists of polyamide fibers coated with elemental silver. The impregnation is drug-free, triglycerides-based. The soft, thin substrate is easy to fold, shape and provide close contact with the wound base. The surface of the substrate and impregnation prevent adhesion to the wound, allowing painless dressing change. Impregnation protects the edges of the wound, prevents maceration, does not contain medicine or paraffin.
Atrauman Ag dressing is suitable for the treatment of chronic wounds such as ulcus cruris, diabetic foot ulcers or decubitus, as well as acute burns up to second degree. It can be used with a secondary absorbent dressing (e.g. Zetuvit E) and a bandage fixer. Sterile, individually packed.
