The BD Vacutainer Rapid Serum Tube (RST) contains a thrombin-based clot activator and separating gel with a recommended clotting time of only 5 minutes. The activator produces clear, fibrin-free serum, and the gel barrier simplifies processing – for fast, reliable results.
Centrifugation: 4000 x g for 3 min, 2000 x g for 4 min or 1500–2000 x g for 10 min (23–27 °C).
