The pocket-sized Vscan Extend™ ultrasound system is specifically designed to be mobile and fast to use, with a variety of imaging modes such as B-mode, colour Doppler, and more. Because the device is particularly handy and can be brought from standby to standby within 10 seconds, it is ideal for diagnosing directly at the scene of an accident or at the bedside. The system is DICOM-compatible and allows data transfer via USB or Wi-Fi.

It has a user-friendly interface with touch screen. Especially during the initial use of the ultrasound system, the ultrasound examination is simplified with the help of user-defined protocols that represent step-by-step instructions.

Thanks to anonymised images, FIPS 197 data encryption and password-protected access, patient data is also secure when not in use. Data transmission is also encrypted. The device supports wireless encryption for enterprise standards including EAP and WPA2 (PSK) and has limited administrator access to critical settings such as Wi-Fi encryption and MDM client setup.

Where applicable, the diagnostic ultrasound system is equipped with a sector probe or dual transducer consisting of linear and sector heads.
