Arrow® T-POD™ Pelvic Stabilization Device
The Arrow® T-POD™ Pelvic Stabilization Device is designed for pelvic stabilization in patients with a suspected pelvic fracture. It is particularly suitable for emergency and prehospital patient care.
The device applies circumferential compression to the pelvis, helping to stabilize the pelvic region following traumatic injury. According to the manufacturer, pelvic stabilization with the T-POD may help reduce blood loss and pain.
The T-POD can be adapted to the individual patient. The belt is positioned beneath the pelvis and can be trimmed to leave a gap of approximately 15–20 cm (6–8 inches) over the center of the abdomen. If trimming is not possible, the belt may be folded underneath.
A Velcro®-backed Pulley System is attached to both sides of the belt. Pulling the tab creates simultaneous circumferential compression, after which the cord and pull tab are secured to maintain the stabilization.
The device also includes a detachable X-ray detectable label, allowing healthcare professionals to identify that the T-POD remains in place during X-ray imaging.

Application
The belt is positioned beneath the patient at the pelvis. The manufacturer recommends removing the patient's clothing before applying the T-POD.
After adjusting the belt to the appropriate size, the Pulley System is attached on both sides. Pulling the tab creates simultaneous circumferential compression. The cord is then wrapped around the Pulley System hooks and the Velcro®-backed pull tab is secured. The date and time of application should be recorded.
