The BD PhaSeal Protector is the vial adapter of the BD PhaSeal closed system drug-transfer device (CSTD), used in oncology for preparing drugs from powder or liquid. The adapter remains permanently attached to the vial; its integrated expansion chamber creates and maintains neutral pressure when air or liquid is injected or withdrawn, preventing the escape of hazardous drug vapours and aerosols.
